All or my wanderings, led me to Trout Lake, Washington where I discovered the Trout Lake Grange, which has a good dance hall. And, the Guiler campground is there with a large group camp site.
I had looked at that Grange a couple years before, but all the curtains were drawn and I couldn’t see inside to confirm if it was a good prospect.
I had camped at the Guiler camp ground back in the 1970’s when the Trout Lake Tavern was a hall that attracted large events (for its size). We would go up to Trout Lake to see Seafood Mamma, and Hank Rasco, and others. We’d drink a lot of beer then camp in the campground so we would not have to drive.
I reserved the grange. I reserved the camp ground. And, for the next several years the Tango Camping Trip was born.
We’ve been there seven or eight times now.
